A Sealed Unit Can’t Be Repaired — Only Replaced
A double glazed unit is two panes of glass sealed together with a spacer bar and an airtight edge seal, trapping dry air or gas in between for insulation. In Dubai’s intense heat and UV, that edge seal eventually breaks down. Once it fails, humid air gets inside, and you see misting, fogging or water droplets trapped between the panes that you can’t wipe away.
At that point the unit has lost its insulating value — it lets more heat in and pushes your AC to work harder — and the fogging only gets worse. Because the unit is factory-sealed, it can’t be opened and dried out; the only lasting fix is to replace the sealed glass unit with a new one. Cracked or impact-damaged double glazed panels also need full unit replacement.
